Dave Matthews Band, or DMB, is a rock band from Virginia. Dave Matthews Band is headed by frontman Dave Matthews, and the band includes seven members currently. Founded in 1991, DMB holds an eclectic sound due to the many instruments in the lineup. Not soft rock but not standard rock, Dave Matthews Band uses violins, saxophones, and other instruments to compliment the standard guitar, bass, and drum core. The band is known for a party atmosphere during summer concerts and laidback vibe that fits perfectly with their liberal political stance and Matthews' social issues work. Their debut studio ablum 'Under the Table and Dreaming' dropped in 1994 and includes hits such as "Ants Marching" and "What Would You Say?" Matthews' unique vocal style makes the band's music stand out. In 1996, the band released 'Crash' with the hit song "Crash Into Me." 'Before These Crowded Streets' dropped in 1998 followed by 'Everyday' in 2001. "The Space Between" is one of Dave Matthews Band's most famous songs off of 'Everyday.' 'Busted Stuff' and 'Stand Up' followed in 2002 and 2005 respectively. In 2009, the band released 'Big Whiskey & the GrooGrux King,' named after the late LeRoi Moore. Moore was a DMB sax player before dying in an ATV accident. 'Away from the World" was released in 2012. It would be six years until the band announced their 9th studio album, 'Come Tomorrow'.
